There are many words that are used by religious people, that are not clear to others. The goal of this page is to start defining these words in a clear and common sense manner for any one to understand. Because this is a new page it will take some time to start listing these words.

Bulwark - Psalm 8, A wall of protection against some one or something that is feared.
Cannon- The name used by the early church fathers in making the scriptures offical.
Chaldeans- Daniel 3:8, an inhabitant of ancient Chaldea
Cubit- Daniel 3:1, an ancient unit of length based on the length of the forearm
Enmities- Galations 5:20, the feeling of a hostile person
Ephah- Ruth 2:17, an ancient Hebrew unit of dry measure equal to about a bushel
Licentiousness- Galations 5:20, Dissolute or unrestrained by convention or morality.
Missionaries- Those who carry out the work of meeting human/spiritual need aound the world in the name of Christ.
Missions- Work projects supported by the church. Usually invloving money to support others, who are helping to improve conditions of need around the world.
Rapture- a word used in the last book of the bible called Revelations(chapters 17-18). It is a catch all word describing the end of the world. The imperial regimes of the world will be destroyed at that time, because they have not been involved in maintaining God's creation as was intended in the world's original creation.
